Seattle beat the Republic, 6-5. Joost was named the player of the game despite the loss. Seattle starter Miguel Serbin was credited with the win after throwing 87 pitches over 5 innings. Félix Hernández aided the Seattle cause with a 2-run single in the top of the first. For the game, the second baseman went 1-4, while adding 2 RBI.
