| Cornhuskers Slip Past Long Island, 5-4 | The DeKalb Cornhuskers electrified the home crowd at The Corn Crib with a walk-off win.
The Long Island Ducks got a superb performance from left fielder Greg Dimon, but the DeKalb Cornhuskers still won the game, 5-4. Dimon was named the player of the game despite the loss. He was 4-4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. The Cornhuskers bumped their record to 62-57 with this latest triumph.
Cheong-u Pak was the walk-off hero for DeKalb. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cornhuskers second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"If I do my job, we've usually got a good chance to win the game," said Pak.
