Yeong-il Choy led Cape Verde to a triumph over Bristol. The final score was 10-4. The catcher went 3 for 4, falling a triple shy of the cycle. He scored 2 runs and added 5 RBI. Hitoshi Miyahira earned his 3rd save in 4 chances.
Choy had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a first pitch slider from Toyoshige Konda, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Vesuvius a 6-3 lead. It was the 12th home run of the year for Choy.
