Wolverines Come Back Late to Clip Marauders

Despite a great performance by Bradenton catcher Keith Hargrove, the Wichita Wolverines defeated the Marauders by the score of 10-6 at The Field at Bradenton. Hargrove was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Wichita reliever Marlo Freeman picked up the win to move to 4-0. Mario Michaca suffered the loss. The Wolverines bumped their record to 64-53 with this latest triumph.

The result might have been different for Wichita, had it not been for Danny Salazar. The left fielder produced a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Wolverines ahead, 7-6. For the game, Salazar had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Salazar, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
