Juichi Takahashi, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason DeKalb won. The right fielder was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs. The Cornhuskers bumped their record to 59-56 with this latest triumph.
Cheong-u Pak aided the DeKalb cause with a 2-run single in the top of the first. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 5, while adding 2 RBI.
