| Hellcats Score Late, Stun Hawks, 5-2 | The Boise Hawks got a superb performance from pitcher Daniel Luna, but the Jacksonville Hellcats still won the game, 5-2. Luna was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 6 innings of shutout ball. Reliever Tadakatsu Murayama picked up the win. His record improves to 1-2. Josh Jackson took the loss. The Hellcats, at 51-61, sit in 4th place in the RCLAA Lou Piniella League.
Had Pablo Viruet not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Viruet hit a 2-run double. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Hellcats.
