| Minson Powers Beehive to 9-6 Win | The Madison Beehive defeated the Bradenton Marauders, 9-6, at The Hive today. Leading the charge for Madison was center fielder Brad Minson. He was 3 for 5 with 3 doubles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5. Leon Green was the winner. Over 8 innings, he allowed 6 runs on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 8 strikeouts. Kris Richardson was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 16 of 22 save opportunities.
Minson had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the first inning, when he hit a bases-clearing double. The Beehive went on to win.
"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Minson told the Madison Times.
