| Middleton Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Rock River in Walk-Off Win | Rock River right fielder Nelson Middleton had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Spokane Bulldogs, 8-5. Bryan Jackowitz got credit for the win, improving to 6-3. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. The Rats improved to 55-58.
Middleton had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the tenth. On a 1-2 fastball from Ramon Romandia, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Rats a 8-5 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Middleton.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Middleton said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
