| Mizuno Powers Cornhuskers to 9-4 Win | The DeKalb Cornhuskers defeated the Sandy Springs Spartans, 9-4, at The Coliseum today. Leading the charge for DeKalb was shortstop Sean Mizuno. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Reliever Ray Burns picked up the win. His record improves to 4-4. Tony Mejía took the loss. The Cornhuskers bumped their record to 58-56 with this latest triumph.
Mizuno had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 3rd in the top of the third inning, when he hit a run-scoring double. The Cornhuskers went on to win.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Eduardo Varerla said.
