| Hackers Deal Rams Painful Loss | There was no shortage of dramatics at San Jose Municipal Stadium today.
The Silicon Valley Hackers did just enough to sneak past the Frisco Rams, 1-0, at San Jose Municipal Stadium. Silicon Valley pitcher Eddy Gil earned player of the game honors. Silicon Valley has a 3-game win streak, while Frisco has lost 3 in a row.
The Hackers got a big at-bat from first baseman Paul Marleau. For the game, Marleau went 1-5. In the bottom of the tenth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 42nd hit of the season gave Silicon Valley a 1-0 lead.
"I found a nice groove out there," said Gil.
