| Marauders Get Win, Extend Streak to 5 | The inspired effort of Fraser Valley shortstop T.J. McClain was not enough to prevent a 6-3 loss to the Bradenton Marauders. McClain went 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. Bradenton reliever Francisco Martínez picked up the win, upping his record to 5-5. Tommy Forbush took the loss. Mario Michaca got the save, his 19th in 25 chances.
Mario Carranza had a big run-scoring double for the Marauders in the bottom of the third inning. With Bradenton leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a curveball from Tommy Forbush and stroked the double to left. It was his 9th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Marauders ahead, 2-0.
"I like the roll we're on," said Bradenton manager Antonio Alejos.
The first-place Black Bears have dropped 5 straight games.
