| Hackers Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win | Ikumasa Shintani left his imprint on the 7-3 Silicon Valley win against the Cape Verde Vesuvius. Shintani was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Silicon Valley now has a 3-game win streak.
Shintani had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a 0-1 fastball from Hitoshi Miyahira, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Hackers a 7-3 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Shintani.
