| Beehive Double Up Rock River, 6-3 | The Rock River Rats got a superb performance from first baseman Brian Arms. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Madison. The Beehive won the game, 6-3. In spite of the loss, Arms was named the player of the game. He was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Madison starter Leon Green was credited with the win after throwing 111 pitches over 7 innings. His record now stands at 8-8. Kris Richardson earned his 14th save in 20 chances.
The Beehive got a big at-bat from right fielder Ben Chadburn. For the game, Chadburn went 1 for 4 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 76th hit of the season gave Madison a 5-3 lead.
"Today was a lot of fun," said Chadburn.
Madison, at 47-59, sits in last place in the TMLAA Jim Leyland Division.
