| Marauders Need Extras to Top Ducks | The Bradenton Marauders topped the Long Island Ducks, 2-1, in TMLAA action at The Field at Bradenton. The player of the game was Bradenton pitcher Cory Roberts. Bradenton's record now stands at 47-60, placing them last in the TMLAA Jim Leyland Division.
The Marauders got a big at-bat from shortstop John Clancy. For the game, Clancy was 1-1. In the bottom of the 11th, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 48th hit of the season gave Bradenton a 2-1 lead.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Long Island skipper John Cook, "and it cost us."
