| Red Bulls Lick Beetlecats, 11-1 | Kiyotaka Sugimoto was instrumental in his team's 11-1 triumph over the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats. The first baseman was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 5 for the Riverside Red Bulls. Riverside reliever Paul Nuckols picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Anton Garcia absorbed the loss. Sugimoto contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Riverside in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 1-0, Sugimoto took a fastball from Anton Garcia and stroked the home run to left-center. His 15th home run of the season allowed the Red Bulls to leap in front, 3-1.
