| Wolverines Top Black Bears in Extras | The Wichita Wolverines picked up a win at The Stetson Bowl, knocking off the Fraser Valley Black Bears, 5-3. Starting pitcher Garth Bankston was an essential part of his team's success. The win was Marlo Freeman's in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Kentaro Ogata took the loss for Fraser Valley. Wichita is now 59-49, Fraser Valley 65-40.
Gabriel García had a nice at-bat for the Wolverines with two out in the top of the 15th. With runners on 1st and 2nd, the center fielder drew a walk, which would prove important in the Wichita win.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," García told the Wichita Daily News.
