| Vesuvius Bang Out 6-2 Win Versus Youngstown | The Cape Verde Vesuvius dealt the Youngstown Tune-Ups a 6-2 loss at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum. Danny Frampton was the star on offense. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Carlos Quiñones got the win, improving to 5-8. He worked 5.1 innings, giving up 1 run on 3 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. Luis Herrera got the save, his 7th in 7 chances.
The Vesuvius got a big at-bat from shortstop Yeong-il Choy. For the game, Choy went 1 for 4 with a home run. In the top of the third, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Cape Verde a 1-0 lead.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Cape Verde manager Eduardo Flores. "Our pregame was pretty good."
