| Rams Clip Vesuvius in Tight Contest | Danny Frampton did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Cape Verde Vesuvius from losing, 5-4, to the Frisco Rams at Conduit Caverns. Frampton was 2-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The win was credited to Danny Guzman in relief. His record improves to 5-4. Manny Becerra took the loss. Frisco, at 49-56, sits in third place in the RCLAA Lou Piniella League.
Brian Clark went 1 for 3 with a walk for Frisco. The 25-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Manny Becerra. It was his 72nd RBI of the season.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Clark said.
