| Rats Bump Off Snaps, 3-0 | The Rock River Rats defeated the Cincinnati Snaps, 3-0, in TMLAA action at The Studio, with Rock River pitcher Juan Lara named player of the game. The winning pitcher was Lara, now 3-2. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 6. Marlin Bryan converted his 21st save in 25 tries.
The Rats got a big at-bat from second baseman Jake Cromar. For the game, Cromar went 1 for 3 with a double. In the top of the second, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 15th double of the season gave Rock River a 2-0 lead.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Rock River manager Will Hunt.
The Rats now own a record of 50-54.
