The Cape Verde Vesuvius had to overcome a big game from Frisco center fielder Alex Villalobos to leave Conduit Caverns with a 7-6 victory. Villalobos belted 2 home runs. Reliever Danny Jensen picked up the win. His record improves to 6-0. Luis Navarro took the loss. The Vesuvius bumped their record to 56-45 with this latest triumph.

Luis Morales hit a run-scoring double off Luis Navarro in the bottom of the tenth, which put the Vesuvius in front, 7-6. In addition to the double, Morales had 2 singles, while going 3 for 5.

"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Morales said in his postgame press conference.
