| Storm Troopers Raise Rally Flag, Beat Pacifica, 2-1 | The Pacifica Shamrocks wasted an impressive 6.2-inning effort from starter Bill Schindler, falling 2-1 to the San Antonio Storm Troopers at McCormick Field. The winner was Matthew Varga in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Jorge Rivera took the loss. San Antonio improves to 60-42 with the win. They lead their division by 2½ games.
Had Sok-man Lee not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Lee hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Storm Troopers.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Lee told the San Antonio Chronicle.
