| Hawks Deal Bulldogs Painful Loss | The Boise Hawks picked up a win at Basque Block Field, knocking off the Spokane Bulldogs, 3-2. On the mound for Boise was right-hander Jan Woodbury, who played a pivotal role in the win. Boise reliever Andy Ryan was credited with the win, to go to 3-0. Kyle Lavole took the loss for Spokane. Boise, now 43-58, holds last place in the RCLAA Lou Piniella League.
Mark Kandah, who is tied for 7th in the RAA in home runs with 14, aided the Boise cause with a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman went 1-5 with a home run.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Kandah said.
