| Victory Pushes Cornhuskers Record to 51-48 | DeKalb starter Keinosuke Misawa pitched effectively against the Jacksonville Hellcats at The Corn Crib. The right-hander led his team to a 3-1 win. The Cornhuskers bumped their record to 51-48 with this latest triumph.
The Cornhuskers got a big at-bat from second baseman Miguel Garza. For the game, Garza went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave DeKalb a 2-1 lead.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Misawa told reporters after the game.
