| Monarchs Win at Wichita, 2-0 | Marysville starter Kevin Bongarzone pitched effectively against the Wichita Wolverines at Howling Park. The right-hander led his team to a 2-0 win. Juan Ayala got the save, his 9th in 9 chances. Marysville is now 67-34, 11 games up in the RCLAA Gene Mauch Division.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out in the top of the fifth inning. That's when center fielder Juan Pérez, who leads the RAA in stolen bases with 38, drew a walk. The Monarchs went on to win.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Pérez told reporters after the game.
