Jim Sims made an impact in the 7-2 Fraser Valley win over Riverside. Sims went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Fraser Valley is now 62-36, 11½ games up in the TMLAA Bruce Bochy Division.

Sims had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-1 fastball from Hidenori Tomita, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Black Bears a 5-2 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Sims.

"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Sims.
