| Spartans Bang Out 8-3 Win Versus Frisco | Sandy Springs pitcher Tony Mejía did his part in helping his team beat the Frisco Rams, 8-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. At 43-55, the Spartans are currently last in the TMLAA Bruce Bochy Division.
Yasushi Hagiwara had a big run-scoring single for the Spartans in the bottom of the first inning. With Sandy Springs trailing 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Ross Charest and stroked the single to right-center. It was his 91st hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Spartans ahead, 2-1.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Hagiwara.
