| Robins Stymie Marysville, Take 5-1 Win | Bristol starter Mike Boyer pitched effectively against the Marysville Monarchs at Ashton Gate. The right-hander led his team to a 5-1 win. Bristol reliever Toyoshige Konda was credited with the win, to go to 1-2. Tae-sang Khang took the loss for Marysville. Arturo Mercado converted his 19th save in 22 tries.
The Robins got a big at-bat from designated hitter Winn Miller. For the game, Miller was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 18th home run of the season gave Bristol a 4-1 lead.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Robins manager Mason Eilers. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
Even with the win, the Robins have a dismal 32-63 record.
