| Hackers Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras | The Riverside Red Bulls got a superb performance from first baseman Kiyotaka Sugimoto. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Silicon Valley. The Hackers won the game, 8-7. In spite of the loss, Sugimoto was named the player of the game. He was 3 for 5 with 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI. With the win over Riverside, the Hackers improved to 46-49.
The Hackers got a big at-bat from center fielder Luis Colón. For the game, Colón went 3-6 with a double and 2 singles. In the bottom of the tenth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 52nd hit of the season gave Silicon Valley a 8-7 lead.
"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Phillip Smith, the Silicon Valley skipper.
