| Wolverines Best Snaps in Pitching Duel | The Wichita Wolverines got a strong performance from pitcher Victor Benavirez, who stymied the Cincinnati offense en route to a 2-1 win at Howling Park. The Wolverines bumped their record to 51-45 with this latest triumph.
Ossie Zurita aided the Wichita cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the designated hitter went 1 for 3 with a walk.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Wichita skipper Chris Carpenter.
