| Aces Jolt Stogies with Late Rally | Getting a good performance from second baseman Alex Diaz, the Las Vegas Aces defeated the Havana Stogies, 5-4. Diaz went 3-4 with 2 triples and a walk, while scoring 2 times for the Aces. Las Vegas reliever Chata Jamaot picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Aaron Lyons shouldered the loss. Losses have been rare for the Stogies, who are now 3-1.
Gary Skinner was the walk-off hero for Las Vegas. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Aces shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Diaz told the Las Vegas Daily News.
