| Vesuvius Get Past Bristol for 3-2 Win | The Cape Verde Vesuvius got a good effort from starter Francisco Morales in defeating the Bristol Robins at Conduit Caverns. The final score was 3-2. Cape Verde reliever Luis Herrera picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Ken Ducklow took the loss. The Vesuvius bumped their record to 49-42 with this latest triumph.
Cape Verde's win came gift-wrapped. With two out in the bottom of the ninth, with the game tied, Danny Frampton reached on an error by the shortstop, driving in 1 run.
"We were in it," said Bristol manager Mason Eilers. "We just didn't score enough runs."
