| Hackers Throttle Hellcats, 8-1 | The Silicon Valley Hackers got a strong performance from pitcher Luis Silva, who stymied the Jacksonville offense en route to a 8-1 win at San Jose Municipal Stadium. Silva, the winner, moves to 9-4. He threw 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 3 walks. Silicon Valley goes to 44-47, Jacksonville to 41-49.
Keith Hawley, who is tied for 10th in the RAA in doubles with 16, aided the Silicon Valley cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first. For the game, the designated hitter drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate.
