The Rubber City Rhinos faced a tough opponent in San Diego pitcher Bobby Criss, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Brew Stade by a final score of 9-7. Criss went 5 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Even with the win, the Rhinos have a dismal 10-32 record.

It could have been a different outcome for Rubber City, had it not been for Emanuel Torres, the 25-year old third baseman . Torres contributed a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put Rubber City up, 7-3.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Torres. "And not try to do too much."
