| Bulldogs Subdue Fraser Valley, 5-4 | The Spokane Bulldogs bested the Fraser Valley Black Bears by a score of 5-4, with catcher Steve Warfel getting the main credit. On the day, Warfel was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Bulldogs. Reliever Aaron Burrell picked up the win. His record improves to 5-1. Dustin Arcuri took the loss. Ramon Romandia notched his 17th save in 22 chances.
Warfel contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Spokane in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-0, Warfel took a changeup from Dustin Arcuri and stroked the home run to left-center. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Bulldogs to leap in front, 4-2.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Warfel said after the game.
Spokane has now won 3 in a row.
