| Hawks Shut Out Hackers | The Boise Hawks racked up a win at Basque Block Field, bumping off the Silicon Valley Hackers, 3-0. Yoshiyuki Matsuda, who started for Boise, pitched effectively for his team. In 6 innings, Matsuda surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 3. He allowed no runs. At 35-54, Boise is in last place in the RCLAA Lou Piniella League.
The Hawks got a big at-bat from first baseman Mark Kandah. For the game, Kandah went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 10th home run of the season gave Boise a 2-0 lead.
