Jason Valentine left his imprint on the 1-0 Silicon Valley win against the Boise Hawks. Valentine, who is tied for 10th in the RAA with a .291 batting average, was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. After today's action, Silicon Valley sits at 43-45, while Boise falls to 34-54.

Silicon Valley grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Valentine, who is tied for 9th in the RAA with a .484 slugging percentage, hit a solo home run. His 11th home run of the season put the Hackers out in front, 1-0.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Boise manager Tom Becker said following the tough loss.
