| Blazers Best Earthquakes in Pitching Duel | The Bloomington Blazers got a stellar effort from pitcher Joey Steamer, helping Bloomington score a 1-0 win over the visiting San Francisco Earthquakes. Matt Comrie got the save, the 2nd for him this season. Losses have been rare for the Earthquakes, who are now 3-1.
The Blazers got a big at-bat from left fielder Roger Barrett. For the game, Barrett was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. In the bottom of the first, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Bloomington a 1-0 lead.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Barrett told the Bloomington Chronicle.
