| Hackers Drop Tune-Ups with Late Score | The Silicon Valley Hackers stopped the Youngstown Tune-Ups, 5-3, at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum. The Hackers got a big game from Ietsuna Endo, who went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The save was Shayne Cluff's, his 2nd. The Hackers raised their record to 40-44.
Endo had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 2-2 slider from Sang-joon Sohn, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Hackers a 5-3 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Endo.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Silicon Valley manager Phillip Smith.
