| Blazers Come Back Late to Clip Marauders | The Blazers had to overcome a fine performance from Maple pitcher Eddie Taveras to grab a 3-2 win at Arson Arena. Taveras allowed no earned runs over 6.1 innings. Matt Comrie, credited with the win, is now 3-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1 innings. The Blazers bumped their record to 21-19 with this latest triumph.
Eugene Axe, who is a three-time All-Star, chipped in for Bloomington with a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 run batted in.
"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Axe told the Bloomington Chronicle.
