The San Diego Hops wiggled past the Rubber City Rhinos, 5-4, at The Brew Stade. San Diego first baseman Zach Hopkins earned player of the game honors. The slumping Rhinos have lost 10 straight.

Hopkins had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the 11th. On a 2-0 cutter from Rudy Cortez, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Hops a 5-4 lead. It was the 10th home run of the year for Hopkins.

"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Rubber City manager Julián Cancil.
