| Monarchs Lose, 5-1, at The Corn Crib | DeKalb starter Ánibal Altichioro pitched effectively against the Marysville Monarchs at The Corn Crib. The right-hander led his team to a 5-1 win. David Vince got the save, his 1st in 1 chances. DeKalb, at 39-41, sits in 4th place in the TMLAA Bruce Bochy Division.
Ramón Márquez, who is tied for 2nd in the TAA in extra base hits with 32, aided the DeKalb cause with a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the right fielder went 1-4 with a home run.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Altichioro told reporters after the game.
