| Mustang Bang Out 7-3 Win Versus Cape Verde | Carson City starter Nick Davidson pitched effectively against the Cape Verde Vesuvius at Cowboys Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a 7-3 win. Carson City, at 47-35, occupies second place in the TMLAA Jim Leyland Division.
The Mustang got a big at-bat from third baseman Alfredo Rodriguez. For the game, Rodriguez went 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 11th double of the season gave Carson City a 2-0 lead.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Davidson told reporters after the game.
