| Bullets Lose, 4-3, at Howling Park | The Wichita Wolverines stopped the Biloxi Bullets, 4-3, behind an impressive performance from Ryan Blossom. The 26-year old right fielder made life miserable for Biloxi pitching. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. The Wolverines bumped their record to 45-38 with this latest triumph.
The Wolverines got a big at-bat from first baseman Bill Hopgood. For the game, Hopgood was 2-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 5th double of the season gave Wichita a 3-1 lead.
After the game, Wichita manager Chris Carpenter applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
