| Mustang Roll Vesuvius, 6-3 | It was a good time at Cowboys Stadium, where fans came to watch the Cape Verde Vesuvius and Carson City Mustang get after it.
A 3-RBI performance from designated hitter Kirk Valcourt led the Carson City Mustang to a 6-3 win over the Cape Verde Vesuvius. At 46-35, the Mustang find themselves in second place in the TMLAA Jim Leyland Division.
The Mustang got a big at-bat from left fielder Gregório Gosende. For the game, Gosende was 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Carson City a 6-3 lead.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Valcourt.
