| Bullets Lose to Wolverines in Walk Off | Wichita Wolverines starter Tsugunao Carroll pitched a strong game against the Biloxi Bullets at Howling Park, leading the Wolverines to a 4-2 win. Wichita reliever Tony Maldonado was the winner. His record is now 4-1. The losing pitcher was Ramón García. The Wolverines bumped their record to 44-38 with this latest triumph.
Wichita won the game in the bottom of the 14th inning. With two outs and Ramón García on the mound for Biloxi, center fielder Gil Keyworth hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Wolverines fans to their feet.
After the game, Wichita manager Chris Carpenter applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
