| Marauders Come Back Late to Clip Hawks | The Bradenton Marauders picked up a win at The Field at Bradenton, knocking off the Boise Hawks, 2-1. Starting pitcher Pat Welch, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Bradenton is last in the TMLAA Jim Leyland Division with a record of 33-46.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Bradenton designated hitter Mario Carranza, facing Ray Toye, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Marauders the 2-1 win.
"Feels good to get the job done," Welch said after the game.
