Long Island first baseman Jihei Suyama picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Riverside Red Bulls, 5-4. Long Island reliever Josh Huntsman was credited with the win, to go to 3-2. Ramon Trinidad took the loss for Riverside. Long Island has now won 3 straight, while the Red Bulls have lost 4 in a row.

Suyama had a game-changing single in the bottom of the ninth. On a 0-1 splitter from Ramon Trinidad, he banged a run-scoring single to right, giving the Ducks a 5-4 lead. It was the 78th hit of the year for Suyama.
