Beetlecats Take Nail-Biter Over Rats
The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats eked out a 3-2 win versus the Rock River Rats at Bloomfield Road. Nobody did more than pitcher Ricky Lerma, who captured player of the game honors. Buzzard's Bay has now won 5 games in a row.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Buzzard's Bay center fielder Marcos Moreno, facing Bryan Jackowitz, had a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. It gave the Beetlecats the 3-2 win.
