| Victory Over Bulldogs Takes Marysville to 55-26 | The first-place Marysville Monarchs took on the Spokane Bulldogs at Mitts Fieldhouse.
Marysville Monarchs starter Lazaro Flores was in fine form against the Spokane Bulldogs at Mitts Fieldhouse, leading his team to a 6-1 win. Flores went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 5, and struck out 6. His record improves to 10-2.
Frank Wickett, who leads the CLL in RBI with 64, chipped in for Marysville with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Monarchs manager Cohen Brouillette, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
