Victory Over Shamrocks Takes Fraser Valley to 48-29

Spirited fans at McCormick Field greeted the Pacifica Shamrocks for their clash with the Fraser Valley Black Bears.

Fraser Valley Black Bears starter Tyrone Mason turned in a top-notch performance against the Pacifica Shamrocks at McCormick Field. The result was a win for the Black Bears, 4-0. Mason went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 4-2.

The Black Bears got a big at-bat from first baseman Elliot Whitfield. For the game, Whitfield went 1-2 with 2 walks. In the top of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 39th hit of the season gave Fraser Valley a 1-0 lead.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Whitfield. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
